Mechanism of MyoSmart (DIMS) lens:

DIMS (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segment) lens has lot of positive power micro-optical segments on the front surface. Those optical segments will generate an additional focal plane in front of the retina, which is named as "myopic defocus". The myopic defocus can guide the growth of eyeball and retard myopia. According to the research study done by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the myopia control (retardation) ratio can be 59%.

The Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (DIMS) Spectacle Lens for Myopia Control awarded the championship in 46th Geneva’s Invention Expo on behalf of Hong Kong.
